Alex Neil thinks that Leeds United will achieve automatic promotion from the Championship this season.

Under the stewardship of Daniel Farke, the Whites have backed up beliefs that they are one of the strongest sides in the Championship and their promotion credentials are clear.

Many have tipped Leeds United for promotion and Neil believes they will achieve it.

Speaking to SkySports, in quotes reported by Leeds United News (6 November), he said: "Leeds will be one of the two teams that go up automatically. I just think they’ve got more consistency. I think now they’re starting to hit their stride and I think they’ll go on and be very strong this season.”

Are Leeds United the best side in the Championship?

Many have argued the case and they are certainly one of them. When it comes to the best squad, I think Leeds have the strongest argument out of all the sides expected to fight it out at the top.

Players such as Ethan Ampadu, Willy Gnonto and Junior Firpo would almost undoubtedly walk into any other side in the division and they have been a crucial component to the success that Farke's side have achieved so far.

There is still a long way to, of course. But, very few sides have showcased the qualities that Leeds United have and with the size of the club, you'd expect them to be able to attract some quality players in January to fight for a starting place in the starting XI.

The return of Ampadu will provide a huge boost in quality for Farke's men with the Welsh international reportedly ahead of schedule in his rehab from injury.

There is no doubt that Leeds will be one of several teams at the top come the end of the season, they very well may find themselves as title winners if they can continue showcasing their form from the start of the campaign.
