Jon Newsome has been blown away by Leeds United mainstay Stuart Dallas this season since promotion to the Premier League.
The Northern Ireland international has been one of many standouts under Marcelo Bielsa, with his ability to play in midfield and defence a big weapon for the Whites.
Newsome even joked that we should play Dallas in goal on the final day against West Brom so he can play in every position this season.
Speaking to Leeds All Over, Newsome has been thrilled by the versatility of Dallas in the Premier League after his slow start at Elland Road.
“Stuart Dallas has had an absolutely outstanding season. He also had an outstanding season last year,” he said.
“The thing about him is that he came to the club as a left-winger, but if you go around it, I think he’s played left-back, right-back, central midfield, defensive midfield, he’s played in-behind, Patrick Bamford, as a No.10.
“Last game of the season, give him the goalkeeping gloves and he will have been in every position. He’s incredible.”
Player of the Season?
When you look back at when Dallas first arrived under Uwe Rosler, the versatile star couldn’t even get a run of starts under his name.
Playing at left-midfield, the Northern Irish international struggled to make a huge difference, and that stayed the same until Marcelo Bielsa arrived.
Dallas played a huge role at left-back during our rise, with Barry Douglas consistently injured after arriving from Wolves, and he came into his own there.
It didn’t stop there though, and he has transformed his game once again in midfield in recent months, scoring seven goals; more than Raphinha.
Newsome has described his performances perfectly, Dallas has been “incredible” and there is no stopping this meteoric rise at Elland Road.
