Joleon Lescott predicts outcome of Leeds United Premier League clash v Liverpool

Leeds United face off against Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday [17 April] and Joleon Lescott predicts the Reds to grab all three points.

The Whites will be aiming to right the wrongs of last weekend’s dreadful collapse against Crystal Palace in a 5-1 home defeat when they play host to Jurgen Klopp’s stuttering side.

Javi Gracia’s men produced an encouraging first-half performance but went into the break level thanks to a goal in stoppage time, before dramatically collapsing after the break, conceding four goals in a shocking performance.

And Lescott speaking to LiveScore, providing his predictions for this weekend’s Premier League games [14 April] said:

“Leeds were really poor last week against Palace and are still far from safe, looking at the table.

“I have to go with Liverpool here. If they are anywhere near where they were against Arsenal, they’ll have too much for the hosts.

“Prediction: Leeds 0-2 Liverpool.”

Chance

Confidence is likely to be shot in the Leeds United squad after the dismal collapse at Elland Road last weekend, and things don’t get any easier this week in facing a Liverpool side who displayed a Jekyll and Hyde performance against Arsenal last time out.

Two clubs with varying inconsistencies in their games right now, which means Gracia’s men certainly have a chance of claiming a much-needed and morale-boosting win.

Liverpool have displayed defensive frailties throughout the whole season so far and if the Whites can display the same dominance and energy levels they showed in the first half against Palace, they may well topple Klopp’s ageing and lacklustre midfield.

The likes of Rodrigo, Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing up against Trent Alexander-Arnold and co too. Leeds United certainly can’t be counted out of this one.
