Jim White: West Ham made two bids for Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips
Jim White has shared that West Ham made not one, but two bids for Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips in January.
The talkSPORT dropped live on air today (31 January) that the second of those was worth £50million plus add-ons.
White insisted that Leeds instantly turned down both and told the Irons that Phillips, or anybody for that matter, was for sale.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning (31 January), White shared what he’s heard about bids flying in for Phillips.
“What is going on,” he said.
“This morning, it was my understanding before I came on air that West Ham have had not one, but two unsuccessful bids for Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips.
“The second one for £50million quid, plus add-ons, they were told not for sale.”

No chance.
There is no chance in any world that Leeds would even entertain an offer for someone with the importance of Phillips.
What makes this even better is that West Ham also had the audacity to go in for Raphinha as well, and that one is even more unrealistic.
Leeds may not look like signing anyone before 11 pm, but at least we won’t be in a position where we have to live with losing players on top of that.
Andrea Radrizzani knows he wouldn’t be forgiven, but he would be a hero if he did spring a surprise and get a deal or two over the line.
White is well connected within the game and knows Radrizzani well having close contact with him, so this is likely to be very accurate.
Phillips is going nowhere, now get that new contract sorted.
