Jim White fumes at Leeds United fine as Jurgen Klopp gets away with incident

Jim White has been stunned by the “double standards” in the Premier League after Leeds United were fined by the FA.

The Whites were charged £20,000 after players surrounded the referee against Chelsea in the 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp stormed at the officials after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at Spurs, something that he ended up getting away with.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning, White couldn’t believe that the Premier League didn’t take any action.

“Leeds fined £20,000 for their players surrounding the referee after the Chelsea defeat,” he said.

“Klopp, meantime facing no action for his conduct with Paul Tierney – double standards.”

Shocking.

We have to admit that no matter how shocking this is, nothing surprises us regarding Leeds against the FA or the Premier League.

Chelsea’s players did the exact same thing by crowding the officials when giving away a penalty in the same game, but yet they weren’t charged or fined.

Then, Klopp storms straight at officials and insists that he has constant problems with Tierney, and gets away with it, how is that possible?

We remember Slaven Bilic being sent off last season while in charge of West Brom with the explanation being that he walked onto the pitch at Everton.

Officiating is embarrassing as it is, and now you add the shocking deliberation at the FA and the Premier League.

We get it, though, as long as you are one of the “big six”, you can do whatever you want and get away with it.
