Jesse Marsch has shared what he told Leeds United fans who promised to chant Marcelo Bielsa’s name in the games with Leicester and Aston Villa this week.
The American was busy meeting fan groups this evening ahead of his first game in charge, and he captivated the room perfectly.
Marsch admitted that he has “no problem” with the expected Bielsa chants, as he wants the passionate fans to celebrate their former manager.

Speaking to fans on Friday, as shared on Twitter, Marsch responded perfectly to the claim ahead of his first games in charge.
“I know it’s not been the easiest week,” he said.
“Even driving in here, I saw the little sign that said ‘gracias Marcelo Bielsa’ – I just met with some of the groups and they said to me ‘we’re going to chant Marcelo’s name, probably in the game in Leicester and probably at home, in the game against Aston Villa.’
“I said: ‘Absolutey no problem.’ When you’re at a club with big history, and when you have a fan base that is so passionate, I want you guys to express your love for what he did and what he was able to accomplish here and how great that was.”

Perfect.
We know it is easy to talk a big game, but Marsch has not put a foot out of line since arriving in West Yorkshire.
The huge round of applause at the end of meeting this fan group was inspiring, and he promised a group of players who will give Leicester “hell” tomorrow afternoon.
Backing up these talks with three points tomorrow would be amazing, and Marsch would have every last fan on board immediately.
We, of course, back every last Bielsa chant, but we have to get behind the lads and Marsch just as much, with 12 cup finals to come.
It’s time to step in another direction, starting at Leicester and continuing against Aston Villa and Norwich next week – bring it on.
