Jesse Marsch needs Leeds United winger Raphinha to regain prime form
The new era at Leeds United is about to begin under Jesse Marsch.
It won’t be easy for anyone to emulate a club legend like Marcelo Bielsa let alone create his own identity. However, a lurch in the fresh direction was needed.
Marsch will need the big players at the club to deliver as the Whites look to break free from the glaring prospect of relegation.
One player Marsch will definitely rely on is Raphinha.
The Brazilian has been the shining light for the Whites this season in the absence of several key players.
With nine goals and two assists, the 25-year-old at times single-handedly carried the team forward. His impact on the side goes beyond goals and assists.

Raphinha puts in a lot of defensive shifts and he can initiate attack as well through clever moves and passes. He has been a sheer joy to watch.
However, Raphinha suffered a big dip in form recently. Bielsa took him off at half-time against Everton, and the pair held a clear-the-air talk, as reported by Phil Hay.
He also managed just 45 minutes in the 4-2 defeat against Manchester United. The winger was poor in the 6-0 defeat against Liverpool, and he was equally non-existent in the 4-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazilian looked out of touch. Marsch needs him. Leeds need him. The new manager must find a way to get the best out of him.
Probably, he lost a bit of confidence. If Raphinha can regain his old form, Leeds can expect to put up a strong fight and quickly climb up the ladder.
