Jermaine Beckford claims that Leeds United players have told him in private that Brenden Aaronson is a pest in training.

This revelation came after the American closed down Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to score against the Blues in the 3-0 win on Sunday.

The summer signing was a constant thorn in their side and Beckford believes that he’s a tireless runner even in their training sessions.

Speaking on Premier League Productions’ Matchday Extra, he said, “I’ve been speaking to so many players behind the scenes. He’s a pest in training. Any time you turn around he’s there. What a signing.”

Perfect Leeds player

Aaronson does not just fill the void of a quality attacking midfielder but also comes to Elland Road with the perfect skillset.

He is extremely talented and skilful but that counts for nothing if he’s not willing to apply himself on the field of play.

However, with three games done, Aaronson has done all of that and more and is already starting to exceed expectations at Elland Road.

There were shouts of him being a fan favourite from the second gameweek itself which tells you just how easily he’s adapted to this side.

Looking at his frame, one would not expect him to be like a dog chasing cars, but he’s playing a pivotal role in putting the opposition defenders on the back foot.

He’s only going to get better with time and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this extremely talented American.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could make a final push for an international striker after he was left out of his side’s matchday squad over the weekend.
