Jeff Stelling drops what he has seen about Leeds United wage of Kalvin Phillips, Paul Merson stunned
Jeff Stelling has left Paul Merson gobsmacked by sharing what he believes Kalvin Phillips is earning at Leeds United.
The Yorkshire Pirlo is said to closing in on a new contract at Elland Road but is supposedly only on £25,000-a-week as things stand.
Merson took aim at Phillips’ agent, insisting even he could do a better job as he was left scratching his head at the news.

Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Gilette Soccer Saturday [02 April, 2:24 pm] Stelling kickstarted a fiery debate.
“Leeds have got some big decisions to make on the likes of Kalvin Phillips, who says he wants to stay,” he said.
“But I was reading this week that he is on £25k-a-week. I don’t know whether England teammates talk about their wages or not. If he is, then he might be thinking he might want to be doubling his or trebling his wages.”
Merson was left stunned and even insisted that he could do a better job than his current agent at Elland Road.
“He needs to ring me. I could be his agent and I could do a better job. Seriously, he can’t be on that.”

Sort it out.
Leeds really need to avoid making a huge mistake with Phillips and get his wages near to the highest at the club.
If that doesn’t happen, he will surely be considering his future, as much as we don’t want to admit it.
Thankfully, it has been reported by David Anderson that Phillips has promised he will sign a new deal at the end of the season.
That is best for all parties, with the Whites needing to secure their safety, sooner rather than later would be best.
Phillips is now back in action after returning against Southampton, and now he can get back to his best before signing a new contract.
That would be perfect.
