Jeff Stelling admits he will get ‘battered’ if he forgets Leeds United on Sky Sports

Jeff Stelling has singled out Leeds United and their fans live on Sky Sports this afternoon ahead of the Chelsea clash.

The Whites travel to Stamford Bridge with their backs against the wall with numerous injury problems.

Stelling insisted he would get “battered” if he didn’t mention Leeds, and made sure to take aim at a “wobble” due to their injuries.

Speaking on Gillette Soccer Saturday build-up on Sky Sports this afternoon, Stelling made sure to get straight to the Whites.

“Leeds as well – I’ll get battered if don’t mention them,” he said.

“Leeds having a large wobble, their injuries share no signs of relenting.”

Wobble?

The form hasn’t been too bad when you actually look at it, with not many clubs actually beating Leeds recently.

Marcelo Bielsa will know that the main problem is converting too many draws into wins, which can be the difference in the Premier League.

Looking back, Leeds should have beaten Newcastle, Leicester, Wolves and possibly even Brentford last time out.

Turning them into wins would have handed us eight more points, and that is something that needs to be looked at.

With Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford missing, it will be more than difficult to pick up any points against Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

We like to be optimistic, but that is hard right now and hopefully, we can pick up some positive results between now and January – fingers crossed.
