Jason Cundy totally baffled as Leeds fan claims Fulham squad is better
Ex-Chelsea player Jason Cundy was left stunned on talkSPORT this week when a Leeds United fan claimed the Fulham squad is stronger than the one at Elland Road.
Fulham were relegated back to the Championship on Monday night as they lost to Burnley, meaning the Premier League’s bottom three has now been set in stone.
Leeds are the only team to come up last term and avoid relegation with Marcelo Bielsa’s side, as it stands, sitting 23 points ahead of 18th-placed Fulham in 10th.
However, a Leeds fan called James has called in to talkSPORT to claim that Fulham’s squad is stronger than the Whites’.
As shown on talkSPORT’s Twitter account, James said: “Scott Parker’s got a better squad than Leeds – a far better squad. And I don’t think he’s done much with it, to be honest.”
Cundy was totally baffled by that claim and said: “Fulham’s got a better squad than Leeds?

James replied by saying: “100 per cent. [Bielsa] has Stuart Dallas playing central midfield and running rings around Loftus-Cheek.
Really?
Leeds are a lot higher up in the table than Fulham due to having a stronger squad – there are no two ways about it.
While having a far superior manager in Bielsa also plays a big role, there’s no getting around the fact that our squad is better than Fulham’s.
Most of Fulham’s starting line-up against Burnley was made up of players who have done well in the Championship but never really stepped up to the Premier League.
They have some decent players who could do well in the top-flight like Alphonse Areola, Joachim Andersen and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. However none of the others are really that great.
Leeds, on the other hand, have Spain and Germany internationals at the back in Diego Llorente and Robin Koch, England international Kalvin Phillips manning the midfield, Brazilian whizz Raphinha on the wing and Patrick Bamford up front.
All of those players would walk into the Fulham squad. In fact, there’s not one player at Craven Cottage who’d get into a full-strength Bielsa side in Yorkshire.
