Jamie Shackleton likely to make Leeds return v Crystal Palace

Jamie Shackleton is not expected to be available for the next two Premier League games for Leeds United, according to a report in LeedsLive.

Marcelo Bielsa recently said that he was still in the final stages of his recovery, which means that he’s unlikely to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Even Brighton seems like a tough as next weekend, but he is likely to return on November 30 which is just in time for the Crystal Palace clash at the start of November.

Some respite

Over the last two seasons, Leeds have had some rotten luck with injuries.

The fact that Shackleton is returning to action soon will make many fans heave a sigh of relief.

With Luke Ayling also not fully fit, Stuart Dallas is having to play in the right-back position.

While that is not a concern for him, the side seems to miss his energy in the middle of the park and once Shackleton or Ayling return, we expect Dallas to slot straight into the midfield.

In Ayling’s absence, Shackleton has put in an incredible shift and we’re hoping that he decides to stay put at the club beyond January.

Playing time may become an issue once everyone is fit and he will then have a major decision on his hands.

He has gotten more time than he would’ve expected by November, but given the fact that he’s 22, he would want to be playing week in and week out as it would aid his development.
