Jamie Carragher relays what he saw Jesse Marsch do at Liverpool before his Leeds United move
Jamie Carragher believes that Jesse Marsch will manage to keep Leeds United in the Premier League this season.
He was impressed with the team talk the American conducted on the pitch after the Leicester.
It reminded of when Marsch’s Leipzig side visited Anfield to take on Liverpool in the Champions League.
Discussing this on Sky Sports Overlap, Carragher said, “I like him, he comes across as someone who’s got real, big energy. He’s going to get ridiculed because he’s American.
“He’s got a real energy about him. The thing he did at Leicester, after the game, is the sort of stuff that people really like.
“I liked the team talk he did, it was on the TV at Liverpool. Haaland was in his team, I think they’ll stay up.”
New culture
Nobody will be talking about the American thing once Marsch starts getting results on the board.
Thus far, he is still viewed as an outsider so will need to keep winning games to silence his critics.

The job for this season will be to keep the Whites in the Premier League and their last two games will give them plenty of confidence.
Hopefully, they can carry that going into the games after the international break.
Three more wins should be enough to retain their Premier League status and they must aim to achieve that.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
