Jack Wilshere: Leeds United winger Raphinha would be a 9/10 Arsenal signing
Jack Wilshere would like to see Leeds United winger Raphinha make the move to The Emirates as speculation over the Brazilian’s future grows.
The Times reported on 20 June that Leeds are expecting an approach from Mikel Arteta’s side for the 25-year-old.
As speculation ramps up over the winger, former Arsenal midfielder Wilshere believes the Brazilian’s quality and experience mean he would be an excellent addition in North London.
Talking on talkSPORT EDGE on 20 June, Wilshere said: “He was one who came to England and adapted straight away.
“You can always tell the quality of a player when they do that because the Premier League is a league that even the top players can take a while to adjust to.”
He added: “He’s got a lot of experience considering the amount of time he’s been in England.
“He’s one I would like to see at Arsenal, it would be a 9/10 signing.”
Move looks likely
Sadly for Whites fans, it is seemingly increasingly likely that Raphinha will be leaving the club this summer.
There’s always been hope that his focus on Barcelona and their financial situation could well mean he remains at Elland Road.
If rumours are to be believed and Arsenal is a likely destination for the 25-year-old then it is a slightly confusing transfer.
Leeds’ fans can accept Raphinha leaving Elland Road, but surely only for the pursuit of trophies and Champions League football.

Arsenal are a huge club, there is no doubting that, but they cannot offer Champions League football and are hardly serial winners at present.
If Raphinha was to leave Leeds it has to be to one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester City all provide a far better chance for the winger to compete against Europe’s best.
What is crucial is that the Brazilian’s future is resolved as soon as possible to give Jesse Marsch as much time as possible to reinvest into his squad.
In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has shared if a ‘Sensational’ defensive midfielder has agreed terms for an Elland Road switch and become the club’s fourth summer signing.
