Jack Harrison head could turn at Leeds United as Elland Road exit talk emerges
Jack Harrison could have his head turned as talk of a Leeds United summer exit emerges, according to former Bleacher Report journalist, Dean Jones.
The 26-year-old was close to departing Elland Road in the January window, with Leicester City nearly landing a deadline day deal (Daily Mail, 24 January). West Ham are also understood to be interested in a summer move for the winger (talkSPORT, 29 May).
However, Leeds rebuffed the Foxes’ advances and tied Harrison down to a new long-term contract in West Yorkshire.

Despite the new deal, Jones believes Harrison could depart the Championship side if a “big offer” lands.
“Would he be willing to do a year down there to help Leeds come back up? He might be. I think that’s going to be the one thing of interest. The second thing of interest will be if a big offer lands,” said Jones (GIVEMESPORT, 3 June).
“We know that there have been clubs last summer and in January trying to sign him. So, if they were to put money on the table, his head might get turned.”
No surprise
Harrison being linked with the exit door should come as no surprise. Over the course of the 2022/23 season, he was probably Leeds’ standout performer. The club were right to tie him down to a new contract, but there has to be an acceptance that he will depart during the off-season.
A footballer’s career is extremely short and Harrison won’t want to spend a whole season competing in the second tier. Who can blame him? He’s earnt the right to play at the best level possible – the same cannot be said about the rest of Leeds’ squad.

Big decisions are now required. The board have to get a move on when it comes to their manager hunt. The longer the wait, the more issues will arise heading into the new campaign. The Championship is back to its brutal best next season and the decision-makers at Elland Road can ill afford to leave any stone unturned.
In other Leeds United news, the future of one Whites-linked manager is now up in the air after a high-level resignation at his current club.
