Isaac Schmidt starts game ahead of Leeds United transfer, deadline day announcement
Isaac Schmidt has been named in the FC St Gallen starting XI for their clash against Trabzonspor on 29 August ahead of his deadline-day move to Leeds United.
The Swiss side posted their starting line-up graphic to their X account on 29 August which included the defender in the team.

Leeds United need to do everything they can to sign Isaac Schmidt
Despite having already added Jayden Bogle to his ranks this transfer window, Daniel Farke has been very vocal about wanting to bring in another full-back before 30 August.
The club has lost Archie Gray to Tottenham already this window and with both the retirement of Stuart Dallas and the exit of stalwart Luke Ayling, the Whites have found themselves somewhat light in terms of full-backs.
Sam Byram and Junior Firpo are the two other natural full-backs within the squad but just having three of them for the first half of the season would be quite a sticky situation, especially when Firpo’s injury record is taken into account.
The links of Schmidt to Leeds United only surfaced on the morning of August 29 [Blick] but since then, multiple compilations have been posted on social media which has majorly increased fans’ hype around the potential of signing the defender.
Only time will tell if a deal will come to fruition, but, one thing is for sure, if a move is pulled off, Farke’s men will find themselves in a much better place.
In other Leeds United news, the bid has more than doubled as the Whites go back in to sign a player who has tried to force through an Elland Road move.
