'Imagine...' - Robbie Savage makes Leeds v Derby claim after Sunday defeat
Robbie Savage has claimed that Leeds United could face Derby County in the play-offs if they collapse in the Championship.
The BBC pundit admitted that he wants the Whites to return to the Premier League, but he couldn’t help but imagine what the play-offs could be like.
With Derby winning 3-2 at Millwall on Saturday, the Rams went three points behind Preston who currently occupy the final playoff spot.
Savage made the prediction to a Leeds fan who called in to suggest that he still believes the Whites will go up, but it won’t be easy.
“I’ve got a prediction for you,” he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Let me just make it clear, I want Leeds to go up, I want to see Leeds in the Premier League.

“Can you imagine, Leeds finish third – Derby in 12th at the minute, they are starting to sneak it up, they are three points behind Preston in sixth. Imagine, Leeds – Derby.”
Savage is still clearly remembering last year’s devastating defeat for Leeds, but the truth is, the two sides have gone in opposite directions since then.
Derby still have a tough eight games ahead of them before they can even think about making the top-six, and after Saturday’s game against Fulham, Leeds have a favourable set of fixtures ahead of them.
Prediction expert Nate Silver had detailed that Leeds have a 97% chance of promotion despite their defeat on Sunday, so Marcelo Bielsa’s men will be looking up rather than down.
