Ian Wright sends Leeds United message during 1-0 loss against Leicester City

Ian Wright was baffled by the number of chances Leeds United created in their 1-0 defeat against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Whites suffered defeat in what was Jesse Marsch’s first game in charge of the Yorkshire outfit.

They created an xG of 2.14 and conceded just 0.35, but still ended up on the losing side.

During the game, Wright tweeted, “Leeds! So many chances!!!!”

It was frustrating to see Leeds create so many chances but nobody to finish them off.

The lack of end product has been the team’s Achilles heel all season and it was obvious against the Foxes as well.

Everything, from their defensive structure to their build-up was exemplary, but in front of goal, they looked toothless.

Marsch has just come in so it may not be the best move in the world to be too harsh on the players.

But there certainly is work that needs to be done on the training field and it’s essential to make players hungry for goals again.

As of now, they seem happy with playing good football and are seeming unwilling to make that extra push to go on and win games.

Asking Dan James to lead the line was clearly a mistake by Marcelo Bielsa and it was baffling to see the same from Marsch.

The Welshman could do with some matches on the bench and hopefully, Patrick Bamford is fit enough to start the game against Aston Villa.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has shared what Jesse Marsch did to the Leeds fans after the loss against Leicester and has detailed their reaction.
