Ian Wright makes Leeds United admission amid relegation battle

Ian Wright believes that Leeds United are in great form currently and they will not get relegated from the Premier League this season.

After the first two games into Jesse Marsch’s managerial career at Elland Road, things looked difficult, but then he turned things around and now has three wins under his belt.

Leeds look in a more comfortable position than they did before his arrival and Wright believes they’ll stay up.

On the Kelly and Wrighty Show, he said, “Leeds, Brentford, both in great form. They’re staying up.”

Facts

Marsch came into Elland Road with a split fanbase and most supporters were annoyed with the board over Marcelo Bielsa’s sacking.

After the first few games, their boos became louder but once the American started registering wins, things became better.

Ideally, two more wins should be enough to keep them up as both Burnley and Everton are not showing any signs of consistency.

As for Watford and Norwich, they seem to be down and out and only a miracle will keep them in the divsion.

However, it’s still important that Leeds don’t get carried away and this is entirely Marsch’s responsibility.

Hopefully, he also manages to convince the likes of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips to stay beyond this summer as he can take the club to the next level with them in the team.

It’s also imperative that the board backs him with quality signings in the summer.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
