'I love seeing that' - Sky Sports pundit blown away by 'Brilliant' Leeds youngster
Sky Sports pundit Darren Bent has been blown away by the transformation that Tyler Roberts has had since joining Leeds United last year.
Roberts, 20, joined Leeds from West Brom in January 2018 and was widely seen as a centre-forward or a wide player.
However as he has continued his development under the charge of Marcelo Bielsa, the young Wales international has slowly transformed into a very astute central midfielder.
Roberts has only played nine times in the Championship this season due to injury but has still managed to impress when he has been able to feature in a central attacking midfield role.
Ex-England international Bent has been especially impressed by Roberts and has suggested that it is a huge plus point for a player of his age to be that versatile.
“Yeah it is, it’s a testament to him,” Bent told Football Insider when asked how impressive Roberts’ transformation to a midfielder has been.

“Obviously putting the work in, adapting to new positions can be difficult, but it’s brilliant from his perspective.
“He looks really comfortable in midfield, and up top at well, and you have to say well played him.
“And I love seeing that, I love seeing younger guys not settling for that one position, I’ve played with players who have done that before.
“So I’m all for it, love it.”
Roberts has missed a lot of matches this season but when he has played, he has shown flashes of being a player that Leeds will have missed a lot during his spell on the sidelines.
Bielsa confirmed earlier this week that the ex-West Brom player is back to fitness after his latest spell on the sidelines so it will be interesting to see whether he gets back into the Argentine’s starting line-up any time soon.
Pablo Hernandez is going to miss a months’ worth of action with his latest injury setback so maybe Roberts will come in to replace the Spaniard once he is fully up to speed.
In other Leeds United news, Angus Kinnear has confirmed a player is set to leave the club next month.
