Harry Redknapp ‘big fan’ of Jack Harrison, tips Leeds United man to go to ‘next level’

Harry Redknapp has admitted he is a “big fan” of Jack Harrison and has backed him to take his game to the next level after his performance in Leeds win over Wolves.

The Whites claimed a 4-2 win to get them out of the relegation zone, with Harrison scoring for the second consecutive game in the Premier League.

And when naming Harrison as part of his Premier League team of the week for BetVictor (20 March), Redknapp praised him and believes he is “vital” to the way Leeds play.

“Jack Harrison is always a threat for Leeds, I’m a big fan of him,” he said.

“He’s got a real eye for goal, usually with both feet as well. He took his goal against Wolves very well and he’s a vital player in this Leeds side.

“I think there’s more to come from Jack and I can see him taking his game to the next level.”

U-Turn

Harrison started the season really well, but by the time the January transfer window came around he had lost his place in the team and was seen as dispensable.

With a move to Leicester agreed on deadline day an exit look inevitable, but a quick change of heart saw him return and it showed with his performances immediately after that.

However, in recent weeks since Javi Gracia’s arrival at Elland Road he has rediscovered his best form and is once again becoming influential to the way that Leeds play.

It’s a big change from what we’ve seen, but it has shown that he is still committed to the club and that he does care about where this team is going and how they’re performing.

When he’s at his best he is a fantastic player and Leeds are lucky to have him, so if he can kick on and get to the next level as Redknapp is predicting then it will only be a good thing for us.
