Gary Neville shares what Leeds United duo told him about Jesse Marsch in private
Gary Neville reveals that two Leeds United players told him in private that they had been impressed with Jesse Marsch.
The answer stunned the former Manchester United captain as he labelled them as two of Marcelo Bielsa’s favourite players.
After the Argentine’s departure, Neville expected there to be some downing of tools at Elland Road, but that’s not been the case.
Speaking about this incident on Sky Sports Overlap, he said, “I spoke to couple of the Leeds lads, I know one of them reasonably well, and asked him what he’s like. He said he’s really impressive. His sessions are fantastic.
“Maybe I wasn’t expecting that answer from the two Leeds lads that I spoke to because I was imagining that they were so ‘Bielsa mad’ about what he’s done there because Bielsa is a huge favourite of those players and they were deeply upset when he left.”
Harmony behind the scenes
There probably must not be a single player who hadn’t improved from Bielsa’s tutelage at Elland Road.
The Argentine oversaw every little detail at the club and knew what was lacking in each player.
He gave them newfound confidence and with some even changed their position to get the best out of them.

There would be some players upset when he left but they’re professionals and know that they have to respect the man that takes over.
Marsch may not have any Premier League experience but certainly has a fixed philosophy and one that the players are now starting to buy into.
Hopefully, he gets a tune out of all the players and we see a new look Leeds side for next season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
