Gary Neville makes Leeds United admission amid Manchester City-Liverpool title race
Gary Neville believes Leeds United can make it difficult for Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season.
The Citizens played out a 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday (April 10) which meant that the gap remains at one point between the two.
City are set to face off against Leeds on April 30 and Neville believes that fixture might be tougher than the Manchester United and Everton ones for Liverpool.
Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast, he said, “In the cup competitions, anything could happen. In the Premier League, we’ve looked at City and thought that’s an easy run-in but actually, that’s because we’re looking at (Liverpool’s games) Merseyside derby and Manchester United.
“In an ordinary season, those games would be tough, but those two teams are appalling, they could be easier than any of the teams Manchester City have got.
“Watford are fighting for their lives, Leeds have to win games, and Newcastle away (for Liverpool).”
Make things tough
Leeds are not in as bad a position as they were a few months ago.
They’ve seemed to have tightened at the back and are now harder to score against and to pick up wins.
Neither clubs share quite a friendly relationship with Leeds fans so it doesn’t matter who wins it.

All the Whites can do, is make it difficult for the teams they face and that is Manchester City.
It would be great if they can pick up a win against the defending champions like they did last season.
Having the same winner anyway gets boring so if Leeds can decide the outcome of the Premier League title then that’s something their fans will keep singing about until the end of the season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
