Gary Lineker reacts as Leeds v West Ham footage error shown on MOTD 2
Gary Lineker has responded after Match of the Day 2 were shown to have made a footage error during the Leeds United win against West Ham.
The scoreboard was already at 1-1 before Jarrod’s Bowen was scored at the London Stadium – thankfully, it counted for nothing.
Lineker was quick to disassociate the Sunday show from the main Match of the Day Saturday slot, as Leeds took all three points in the end.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lineker responded as the mistake was pointed out on social media.
“MOTD2 if you don’t mind,” he joked.
It was Dale Johnson who spotted the error, labelling the popular highlights show as “increasingly trigger happy.”
Set pieces.
Now, we know that Leeds are shocking at defending set-pieces and that was shown increasingly at the London Stadium.
Craig Dawson should have headed home before Bowen did, and numerous more chances came from corners as the game went on.
Changing the scoreboard before it even happens is very predictable though, and it was most likely just one person failing with their job.
They didn’t mess around when Leeds had all their chances, and the final scoreboard was all that mattered in the end.
Jack Harrison was the star of the show, notching a hat-trick which gave him the match ball and another vital win to the Whites on the road.
Here’s to another big win over Newcastle on Saturday – fingers crossed.
