Gary Lineker drops Leeds United v Arsenal joke on Twitter as COVID chaos continues

Gary Lineker has joked about the Leeds United clash against Arsenal ahead of the Premier League meeting.

The Match of the Day host laughed that the Whites’ would be the first game of the running order, with it being the only clash left standing today.

Aston Villa were set to entertain Burnley at Villa Park, but more positive COVID cases have led to that being postponed too.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lineker dropped the joke that will make Match of the Day a special Leeds edition.

“The BBC Match of the Day running order: Leeds United v Arsenal,” he wrote.

“Surely no one disagrees this week….then again, it is Twitter.”

Must watch?

Well, it looks as though every single minute of the game tonight will be able to be analysed, and that is either brilliant or one to forget.

Looking at our squad and our own crisis on the injury front, it looks as though the latter is more likely.

Leeds don’t even have 11 senior players to choose from, but because it’s down to injuries and not COVID, they have no grounds to have the game postponed.

Marcelo Bielsa admitted he is going to fight until the end of the season for the Whites, and he will need to work some of his magic today – that’s for certain.

Hopefully, in a few hours time he has done just that and the likes of Lineker are left showering praise on El Loco and his mighty Whites – fingers crossed.
