Gabby Agbonlahor mocks Leeds United after West Ham defeat

Leeds United are without a win in their opening six Premier League games of 2021-22, and Gabriel Agbonlahor is delighted.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have managed to pick up just three points so far, and Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United saw them slip into the relegation zone.

Agbonlahor took to his personal Instagram account on Saturday evening after the Hammers left Elland Road with all three points, mocking the Whites and urging Danny Mills to return to his old team.

He said: “Hey Danny this form is worrying!! No wins in six!! They need you back in defence pal.”

Mills replied: “Not sure I’m the answer.”

Poor start

Leeds are 18th in the table, and while the alarm bells are not ringing at Elland Road yet, shipping 14 goals and averaging just a goal per game are worrying.

Injuries have not helped the Yorkshire outfit, with Patrick Bamford missing the Hammers clash, while the defensive trio of Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Luke Ayling were also unavailable.

Raphinha ended up getting withdrawn, and Bielsa could be left sweating over the fitness of the Brazilian attacker ahead of next weekend’s game against Watford.

Leeds United will fancy their chances of finally getting a win when the newly-promoted side come visiting, but it is not going to come easy.

The Hornets have two wins and a draw in six games so far, and they are very capable of the Whites all sorts of problems.

Bielsa needs to find a way to quickly arrest this slide and help his side turn a corner.

It needs to be done sooner rather than later, and a victory next weekend will be hugely relieving.

The players need to turn up and do better, or things could keep going south.
