Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O'Hara react as Wolves fan makes Crawley dig at Leeds United live on talkSPORT

Gabriel Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara have leapt to the defence of Leeds United after a bitter Wolves fan slammed the team after their 4-2 win at Molineux.

The Whites battled hard to claim a 4-2 win thanks to goals from Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, Rasmus Kristensen and Rodrigo to move out of the relegation zone and up to 14th place in the Premier League.

But an angry Wolves fan phoned talkSPORT after the game and complained about refereeing decisions going against his team (18 March), leading to former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor setting him straight.

“Alex, you’ve conceded four at home to Leeds,” Agbonlahor said. “That’s the problem.”

The fans was quick to respond with a dig at Leeds though.

“We’ve had a bad day, everyone has a bad day really, but conceding to Leeds is like conceding to Crawley Town really. They’re so bad.”

Jamie O’Hara defended the Whites though saying that Leeds “aren’t that bad”.

Bitter

Anyone who watched the game will know that Leeds were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes and fully deserved to come away with all three points.

There’s no doubt the referee wasn’t at his best, but it’s interesting that there was no mention of the fact Craig Dawson got away with stamping on Jack Harrison and only got a yellow card for it, while the referee also initially only gave a yellow card for Jonny’s leg-breaker on Ayling.

Also the fan’s comment shows that he clearly doesn’t watch Leeds that much, as scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for the team all season.

Only Leicester have scored more goals than us this season among the teams in the bottom half of the table, so to suggest that conceding to us is some horrendous feat is just weird.

He’s clearly just bitter and angry that we’ve managed to suck them back into the battle they thought they had escaped, and now they’re panicking. We were more than good and deserved the result.

Now it’s about consistency and ensuring that we can keep this going after the international break, because we need to keep getting wins on the board to avoid the drop.
