Four of 11 Daily Mirror journalists predict Leeds United to be relegated from the Premier League
Four Daily Mirror journalists believe that Leeds United will be relegated from the Premier League this season, according to their latest predictions.
The Whites currently sit in 19th place in the table after their 2-2 draw with Brighton at Elland Road on Saturday (11 March), where several results around them went against them.
And asked for their predictions on which three teams would be relegated this season (13 March) with most of the sides involved having 12 games remaining in their campaign, only four of the 11 journalists felt that Leeds would be in the Championship next season.
Neil McLeman believes that the club was “doomed” since selling Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips last summer, while Ben Husband believes the appointment of Javi Gracia wasn’t inspiring enough to save them from the drop.
Darren Wells also feels Leeds will go down because they have a tough run of fixtures and haven’t been able to claim points despite good performances, and Colin Millar points out that we have the worst run of form of any team right now with just one win in 13 and feels we are in “deep trouble”.

There’s no doubting that avoiding the drop is going to be incredibly difficult this season, but the league is so tight that winning two or three games in a row could legitimately be enough.
The run of fixtures to end the season is among the toughest of all the sides involved in the battle, but we also have a fantastic squad and more depth than all of the teams involved.
We have goals in the team with Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville all doing well, and that is what wins games.
But Gracia must find a way to improve the defensive stability of the side to stop leaking goals, because that is what is costing us points despite playing well since we can’t keep clean sheets.
He’s running out of time to do it, but there is enough quality in our squad and the performances must surely eventually turn into results to ensure there are at least three teams worse off by the time May rolls around.
In other Leeds news, the Whites are attentive to the contract situation of one “excellent” 19-app Premier League ace for this summer.
