Four clubs want to sign Ezgjan Alioski, CSKA Moscow table offer - report

Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and CSKA Moscow all want to sign Leeds United left-back Ezgjan Alioski this summer.

Turkish outlet Fanatik has reported the war on their website, with the Russian side already tabling their offer.

CSKA have offered the North Macedonian international £2.1million in wages per year in order to win the race.

It is reported that Alioski’s deal at Elland Road is now expired.

The 29-year-old has been allowed to open negotiations with other clubs for the past few months now, with his official exit now until July.

Victor Orta had tabled a last-gasp attempt to keep Alioski, but it appears as though that fell through and he will now leave.

Galatasaray also had their chance, and after their talks collapsed in the past month, CSKA or the other two Turkish clubs are more likely.

Only so much.

There is only so much you can do to keep your players, Marcelo Bielsa will only want those in his squad who want to be there.

Alioski would surely have stayed if he was given better wages, but with a left-back a priority in this window, he would more likely be on the bench.

We are getting ready to wave goodbye to another one of our modern icons, and it is certain that he will never be forgotten in West Yorkshire.

Alioski’s screams on videos, his antics on and off the field, there was nothing better than seeing one of those ahead of a match on a Saturday.

That means Orta will now need to look for two left-backs and make that an area with great competition, rather than where we’re lacking.
