Feyenoord eye Blackburn Rovers manager Jon Dahl Tomasson to replace Leeds United-linked Arne Slot

Feyenoord are reportedly looking at Blackburn Rovers manager Jon Dahl Tomasson to replace Leeds United-linked Arne Slot.

According to Voetbal International [28 February], if the Dutchman does leave for Elland Road, they do have a desired option to bring in through the door.

Slot was heavily linked with Leeds but did not want to leave in the middle of the season which saw them eventually appointing Javi Gracia.

On his way out?

It seems like Slot has made up his mind and will probably leave Feyenoord at the end of the season, hopefully after winning the league.

He would be the ideal manager to take Leeds to the next level and that would obviously depend on the kind of job Gracia does.

If the Spaniard does a decent job and keeps them in the league, there could be some within the hierarchy that want to keep him on longer.

However, they need to weigh the pros and cons as the managers that they wanted initially are all likely to be available in the summer.

They cannot stick with someone just because it’s worked for a few months as that will take away from what their long-term plans are.

If they see Slot as the right man for the future of the club, no matter what happens, they must go out and get him in the summer.

In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
