Fabrizio Romano shares Leeds United update as decision made on Jesse Marsch
Leeds United are reportedly already working on appointing a replacement as they have decided to part ways with Jesse Marsch.
According to Fabrizio Romano, after a poor run of form, the Whites have gotten rid of the American 12 months after he replaced Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites are currently in 17th place and are fighting a relegation battle in the Premier League.
Via Twitter, Romano wrote, “Jesse Marsch has just been sacked by Leeds United. Decision made after the recent negative results, confirmed. Leeds board, now working on new head coach appointment.”
Right call but bad timing
It’s weird that the Whites decided to sack him in the following week after the transfer window shut.
The Whites smashed their transfer record in January – something that was previously unheard of and they also brought in three new faces.
Georginio Rutter was certainly the biggest in terms of transfer fees, but Weston McKennie was by far a top-profile signing.

Plying his trade at Juventus, it was a massive coup for the Whites to even secure his services and they know have an option to buy him.
It’s important that Leeds make the right call and appoint a manager that can improve this bunch of players as the squad is far from a relegation side.
They’ve got a number of game changers in every area and it was clear that Marsch was out of his depth for a while and it’s good to see a decision being made.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now preparing to sign a former Barcelona defender in the summer and have already taken decisive steps towards sealing the deal.
