‘Eyewatering’ Leeds ticket reveal emerges weeks before Manchester United showdown

Leeds will welcome Manchester United to Elland Road on 4 January.

Leeds United are preparing to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, and Whites boss Daniel Farke certainly won’t be looking past any games of football.

Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Brentford last time out has pushed them three points clear of 18th-placed West Ham, thanks to a late Dominic Calvert-Lewin equaliser against the Bees.

This has offered some vital breathing room in the relegation fight for Leeds, but a tough festive period of fixtures awaits them, and there is one match that certainly appears to be firmly on fans’ minds already.

Leeds will be hoping to finally break Man United winning curse in January

Leeds-Manchester United is undoubtedly one of the fiercest rivalries in English football, but in recent years, it’s also been a fairly one-sided one in favour of the Red Devils.

Indeed, you have to go back to that famous January day in 2010 to find the last time Leeds claimed victory over United, with Jermaine Beckford’s goal handing the Whites a memorable win in the FA Cup third round at Old Trafford.

So, Leeds fans will feel like they’re due a win over their arch rivals, and many are clearly desperate to be at Elland Road in the new year in the hope of witnessing a famous victory over Ruben Amorim’s side.

With more fans wanting tickets than Elland Road can even hold, we’re in for another wild ride in LS11.
