Ex-Manchester United defender Gary Neville spot on with damning Leeds United verdict, fans must be worried
Gary Neville reacted to a tweet that shared the stance of Leeds United on independent financial regulators for Premier League clubs.
Football finance expert Kieran Maguire shared an article by the BBC and Neville said that they need to be more worried about how they’ve been playing recently.
His tweet comes after they were humiliated 5-1 at home by Crystal Palace after a horror second-half in front of their fans.
Neville wrote on Twitter, “Playing like they are is a bigger risk.”
While he’s being tongue and cheek because it’s Leeds and he hates them given the fact that he’s a Mancunian, he does make a valid point.
Most teams in the bottom half have made managerial changes and are getting the bounce from those decisions in the last few weeks.
Leeds too have improved under Javi Gracia, but what happened on Sunday was a farce and that’s put them back a few steps after things looked to be on the rise.
Opta shared a stat from the game on 9 April and that gives Leeds fans plenty of reasons to worry about.
The fact that Leeds weren’t able to get a sniff at the offensive players of one of the most out-of-form sides in the league means that there’s a lot of areas they need to improve on.
The Whites are currently just two points away from safety and these are the games at home they should be winning but it’s a pretty shocking performance and Gracia needs to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
In other Leeds United news, Ian Wright cannot believe his eyes after footage surfaces of a Leeds player on social media.
