Ethan Ampadu update as Leeds source reveals worrying Premier League stance
Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu is expected to attract interest in the summer transfer window.
Daniel Farke is set to bolster his squad in the market as they prepare to play in the Premier League but the Welshman’s future at Elland Road was under question.
West Ham have been linked with another Leeds swoop for the 24-year-old after they took Crysencio Summerville from Elland Road last summer.
However, a new update on the former Chelsea man should give Whites supporters encouragement ahead of a huge campaign for their club.

Ampadu will stay at Leeds United
Leeds would not be willing to sell Ampadu, he is their leader and he is one of a few players that is good enough to play in the top-flight.
Athletic reporter Beren Cross shared an update on the Wales international’s future (1 May) that claimed that a source has told him that he is one of the players that the Whites brass feels can make the step up to the elite level.
It states that he will keep the captaincy and be a critical part of the engine room next season.
Although it is rather worrying that the executives within the club do not feel like there are not many players who are of the required quality, their stance on Ampadu should be reassuring.

Leeds need a big summer ahead of Premier League berth
Everyone involved with Leeds, from the 49ers and Farke to supporters, know exactly what the Yorkshire outfit needs to do next season.
They need to retain their place in the Premier League, 17th place or bust, although that task may prove to be very difficult to achieve.
Championship | Played | GD | Points |
P. Leeds United | 45 | +64 | 97 |
P. Burnley | 45 | +51 | 97 |
3. Sheffield United | 45 | +27 | 89 |
A huge financial outlay is likely required to bring the squad up to standard and that may not even be enough, given the huge gap between the divisions.
However, there is also something to be said for stability, keeping the likes of Farke and Ampadu around will be a major boost for the Elland Road club.
Letting the captain leave for a league rival, who could very well be a competitor in the relegation battle, would be foolish and likely condemn the Whites to relegation before a ball is kicked.
Luckily, it appears that Paraag Marathe and Co are aware of that, after the latest update from Thorp Arch.
