Emma Jones thrilled by Gary Lineker praise for Patrick Bamford
Emma Jones has been left thrilled as Gary Lineker hailed Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford this week.
The Whites talisman has made it a personal mission of his own to help fight against climate change and spoke out yet again this week.
Lineker was blown away by that but delivered a big warning against those who are going to question him down the line.
Lineker started the love-in for Bamford with a message of his own for everyone to see and jump on.
“Well said, Patrick Bamford,” he said. “But the ‘stick to football’ line only seems to be applied when they disagree with us.”
Jones reacted to the message on her personal Twitter account in the past 24 hours, and was clearly thrilled.
Get him back.
It’s brilliant to see one of our own looking to make a difference.
Having said that, it only reminds us of matters on the pitch and the fact that Bamford hasn’t been on it in that long.
Since picking up that ankle injury in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle, Bamford has been nowhere to be seen and it doesn’t look as though he is returning any time soon.
There is hope that he could feature at Spurs, and that would be a major boost to have him back on the pitch.
He admitted in the same interview with Jones that he is making progress, and hopefully she can be our good luck charm in bringing him back to action.
Bamford is certainly needed, time to make as much impact on the pitch as he has off of it in recent times.
