Emma Jones blown away by Leeds fans returning v West Brom

Emma Jones was blown away by Leeds United fans as they returned for the final day clash against West Brom last week.

The Whites welcomed 8000 fans back into Elland Road, and they went crazy as it finished 3-1 to secure a ninth-placed finish.

On the first edition of the club podcast since then, the LUTV pundit shared a special moment that left a staff member in tears.

Speaking on the latest edition of the Leeds United Podcast, Jones shared a truly special moment from the final-day victory.

“It was unbelievable,” she said.

“I was up on the gantry, near the commentators, and one of the security staff was stood up there and he said to me, I’m just standing here and having a moment.

“When the place erupted, he had a tear trickling down his face, it was such a special moment.”

Emotional.

What a day.

We are still thinking about so many moments that took place at Elland Road that day, as we could watch Premier League football for the first time in 16 years.

From Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi waving goodbye, to each goal smashing the back of the net, it was the perfect way to return for those lucky 8000.

All eyes are already on next season, now and what we could possibly achieve with a potential full stadium every single week.

There is nothing stronger than a packed Elland Road, and the West Yorkshire roar behind us could push us all the way to Europe.

We’re counting down already.
