Eddie Nketiah sends Twitter message to Leeds fans after 5-4 win v Birmingham
Eddie Nketiah has taken to Twitter to hail the Leeds United supporters who made their way to St Andrew’s on Sunday to watch the 5-4 win against Birmingham.
It was a fitting way for the Whites to end the decade.
They moved to the top of the Championship table with the most dramatic of wins as Birmingham pegged them back relentlessly until a stoppage-time own goal by Wes Harding settled the win for Leeds.
Nketiah was handed his first league start for Leeds ahead of the game due to Patrick Bamford suffering from a dead leg.
The on-loan Arsenal forward took to social media after the game to deliver his verdict on the pulsating win.
“What a game, what a win,” said Nketiah via his personal Twitter account. “Fantastic shift from the whole team, equally matched by your support.”

Considering there were so many goals in that game, Nketiah might be disappointed that he did not manage to get on the scoresheet.
However the England Under-21 international definitely showed that he has what it takes to lead the Whites’ line from the off.
Although it is clear that Nketiah is not as good as Bamford, the 20-year-old still showed that he can hold the ball up and get involved in the attacking interplay.
In future games, if Bamford is not available, at least Leeds know they will have someone they can rely on up front.
Hopefully Arsenal do not recall the young striker in January.
