Dom Matteo: Leeds are back after boardroom visit to watch big win v West Brom
Dom Matteo has insisted that there was genuine excitement in the Leeds United directors’ box after the final day victory against West Brom.
After a tough year personally, the former Whites defender was invited to the clash and got to speak to everyone involved in the board.
They appear to have given off the perfect message, with every single member already looking ahead to the next stage of our progression.
Writing in his Yorkshire Evening Post column, Matteo insisted that it was a great time to be associated with the Whites yet again.
“There was such a buzz at Elland Road,” he wrote.
“Everyone around the directors’ box was so excited. It was amazing to be around such positivity. I had conversations with a lot of people and they seemed like a good group who have Leeds United at heart.

“We want to see that passion and we want to see the club running the right way. We don’t want to count our chickens but it feels like the club is going places.
“The atmosphere was amazing. It felt like Leeds were back.”
Next steps.
Andrea Radrizzani is already plotting for next season and beyond in West Yorkshire.
The Italian has already made three additions to his boardroom team with plenty of experience, and one of those was already present on Sunday.
This journey over the past four years has been incredible, and it is more than exciting to know that it has only really just begun.
Leeds are here to stay, and it has been made no secret that Radrizzani wants to bring the Champions League back to Elland Road.
All the right steps are being taken already, with the San Francisco 49ers the perfect addition to this set-up, we can’t wait for more.
