Doctor issues update on Leeds United ace Wilfried Gnonto ahead of Rotherham clash
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...
Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto faced a potential Grade 3 hamstring tear scare while on international duty, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Italy international faced months on the sidelines once again if it was to be the worst case scenario.
Yorkshire Evening Post reported on 20 November that the 20-year-old escaped any serious injury but is unlikely to miss the Rotherham clash on 25 November.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Gnonto:
“The worst case scenario would’ve been a grade 3 hamstring injury which would’ve meant weeks to months on the sidelines.
“However, fears of a serious injury have been allayed so he’s likely to be fit for the weekend.
“It would make sense to be cautious with him, however, considering the sensitive nature of hamstrings and high reinjury rates and that’s perhaps what will be going on behind the scenes.“

The Whites medical staff will be a tad cautious with him at Thorp Arch once he fulfils his international commitments.
Gnonto has missed the majority of the season due to an injury and the last thing Daniel Farke wants is for him to have another spell on the sidelines.
While the Italian is unlikely to be a starter, given the form of the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter and Dan James, he may feature off the bench.
In other Leeds United news, the club are set to go ahead with a multi-million move as the decision has been made with the media already briefed.
