Doctor issues injury update on Leeds United defender Djed Spence
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...
Leeds United defender Djed Spence could still miss a few more games due to his lateral collateral ligament injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that due to his potential and age, the Whites will be more conservative with his return and not look to rush him back into action.
Once he’s responding well to rehabilitation and training, he will then be recommended to Daniel Farke for first-team selection.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Spence:
“This is a Grade 3 lateral collateral ligament (LCL) rupture per the team head of performance.
“His recovery will continue to be based on how he’s responding to rehab and training.
“Considering his age and promise, I imagine the club will be even more conservative with him.
“He could be out for a few more games.“

Spence joined Leeds this summer from Tottenham Hotspur and it’s fair to say that things haven’t started as he would’ve thought.
The 23-year-old moved to Elland Road under the impression that he would be the first choice right-back.
However, he’s played just nine minutes so far and will have to earn his spot in the playing eleven for Farke.
In other Leeds United news, the club are set to go ahead with a multi-million move as the decision has been made with the media already briefed.
