Diego Llorente suffers hamstring injury in fresh Leeds United blow
Leeds United defender Diego Llorente missed the 6-0 defeat at Liverpool on Wednesday night with a hamstring injury, according to The Athletic.
Llorente, 28, went off at half-time in the loss to Manchester United on Sunday and no word has been said by Marcelo Bielsa – nor anyone – about the Spain centre-back being injured.
However, Llorente now joins Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips on the sidelines at Elland Road with The Athletic reporting that he has “picked up a hamstring issue”.

It remains to be seen if the ex-Real Sociedad defender will be available to return to the Leeds side to play Tottenham on Saturday at Elland Road.
Yet another hamstring issue
Cooper and Phillips are already sidelined with hamstring injuries while Bamford has also had issues with his hamstring earlier this season.
Llorente hasn’t been the fittest of players since joining Leeds from Real Sociedad at the start of last season.
He’s managed 36 appearances in all competitions since his arrival from Spain and has already missed seven Premier League fixtures this term.
Llorente is an injury-prone player but you can bet that Marcelo Bielsa forces him to train as hard, every day, as some of the more indestructible players in his squad like Jack Harrison and Mateusz Klich.

It’s becoming more and more apparent that Bielsa doesn’t have the players nor the means to be able to play the football he wants to play and push the players he wants to push them.
He needs players who aren’t injury-prone and unless he changes that, he needs more players who can add some serious strength in depth.
We cannot solely blame Bielsa for the injury issues but he surely plays a role with them.
In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has shared his thoughts on an attacker’s injury after a journalist shared his concern.
