Dharmesh Sheth shares what Leeds United are willing to do to sign 'main target'

Dharmesh Sheth has mooted live on Sky Sports that Leeds United have found their “main target” in the January window.

The Sky Sports reporter has shared that the Whites are still prepared to remain patient with almost two weeks to go in the window.

It has been made very clear that Victor Orta has been looking for a new midfielder, with Leeds seriously lacking in numbers.

Speaking live on Sky Sports The Transfer Show this evening (13 January), Sheth shared the latest on Thursday.

“Leeds still looking to strengthen their midfield,” he said.

“They’re prepared to be patient to land their main target.”

Main target?

Has Orta finally narrowed down his search after two weeks of radio silence at Elland Road at the start of this month?

Hopefully, things will start to accelerate now as we hit the midway stage of the month, with a midfielder vital to our squad.

It is no coincidence that reports from France have started linking the Whites with a move for Lens skipper Seko Fofana.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has reported that Leeds want to sign the Ivorian but will face stiff competition from Burnley and Newcastle.

Patience is always key in January, but Leeds have been very quiet given the urgency needed around their squad.

Kalvin Phillips is looking like he will be out until March, and that cannot be ignored given on form and position in the Premier League.

Let’s get the ball rolling with our main target and get him through the door.
