Dharmesh Sheth shares if Leeds United have decided to make third bid for Brenden Aaronson
Dharmesh Sheth has shared that Leeds United are yet to make a final decision on whether to launch another bid for RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson.
The Whites have seen two offers knocked back by the Austrian side, with the attacker now away on international duty with the United States.
Sheth delivered the update with only four days to go in the window, with a last-gasp move mooted before the deadline.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Transfer Show (27 January), Sheth opened up on the thought process at Elland Road ahead of the deadline.
“Leeds United yet to decide whether to make an improved bid for Brenden Aaronson or wait until the summer,” he said.
“Leeds want him now, RB Salzburg don’t want to sell.”
Leeds are stuck between a rock and a hard place as things stand.
Victor Orta knows that Marcelo Bielsa needs reinforcements to help against the fight of relegation from the Premier League.
After finding that player, Salzburg are now making this deal impossible, unless a stupid offer above £30million was to go in.
Orta and Andrea Radrizzani won’t want to be used in a situation such as this, no matter how stubborn the Austrian side are being.
This is where more flexibility is needed, with no sign of a plan B or other targets that could be brought to Elland Road to help the fight.
Based on this, there is still a chance that one more bid could be made – let’s cross our fingers and hope for a positive outcome before Monday.
