Dharmesh Sheth: Leeds United have been approached for numerous major exits in January window
Dharmesh Sheth has shared that Leeds United have batted away numerous approaches for their players in January.
Exit rumours have gone into overdrive in recent days, with Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha at the heart of them all.
Sheth reiterated that Leeds will not be selling anyone, with his claim insinuating that more approaches have been made.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Transfer Show, Sheth shared what he has been told about potential exits at Elland Road.
“There have been approaches for a number of Leeds United players in this window,” he said.
“But, Leeds have no interest in selling.”
There is simply no world where it would make sense for the Whites to be accepting proposals to sell their players.
Even the likes of Crysencio Summerville, who despite not playing, is only one injury away from a big role at Elland Road.
As we know, there is the possibility of a big injury at Thorp Arch every single day given the intensity of training, so in the space of 24 hours, everything could change.
The fact that updates on Sky Sports are about outgoings, rather than potential incomings, with those desperately needed.
Raphinha and Phillips are untouchable, and if those were to both sign new contracts in the comings weeks, it would be a huge boost.
But, where is the urgency? We need midfielders and a new striker, but yet there has been no real progress apart from RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson.
Let’s hope for a huge U-turn tomorrow.
