It appears that Leeds United have sealed yet another transfer this weekend.
After confirming the record-breaking deal for Rodrigo on Saturday morning, all eyes switched to strengthening the back four.
Freiburg’s Robin Koch has always been mooted as a possible target should a move for Ben White not materialise.
Brighton made it clear that they would not sell to Leeds, and that saw them turn their attention immediately.
Victor Orta has been in great form in this window, and Koch was on a flight to West Yorkshire on Saturday.
There was a delay before the confirmation of Rodrigo at Elland Road, but that doesn’t appear to be affecting any move for Koch.
The 24-year-old has already posted a farewell message to Freiburg on his personal Twitter account after three years at the club.
“Now is the time for a new task,” he wrote. “I very much hope that we will see each other again sometime. Thank you for everything and only the best.”

This is exactly the same as Rodrigo’s move to Leeds.
It was Valencia and the player who confirmed the move days before it was actually announced by the Whites, and Koch appears to have done the same.
The 24-year-old completed more clearances and blocks than White per game last season according to WhoScored – in a much-tougher decision.
This comes on the same day that White made a horrendous start to life for the Seagulls against Chelsea – possibly the biggest sign that Leeds have sealed a masterclass.
