Dean Jones thinks Raphinha could leave Leeds United

Dean Jones believes that Raphinha could have his head turned and he could leave Leeds United.

Speaking on the latest edition of Touchline Talk, the transfer expert was asked about Raphinha’s future and provided his view on the Brazilian.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with Liverpool, and Jones thinks that the Whites might get £40million for Raphinha and that they could then sign Adama Traore [Globo Esporte].

“They’ve got concern over somebody like Raphinha staying. His head’s going to be turned; there’s no doubt about that if Liverpool want to sign him.

“Leeds are then talking about ‘well how much can we get for him?’ £40million. But £40million isn’t going to get you a lot if you are Leeds.

“They might get Adama Traore. He is someone that they want.”

Interesting comments.

Raphinha has been in superb form this season, and he has scored five goals and has turned in an average WhoScored rating of 7.42.

The 24-year-old has been an incredible player for the Whites, and the time could come when he wants to leave.

However, Jones thinks that it is guaranteed for him to have his head turned, but that isn’t necessarily the case.

£40million also seems like a very low amount for a player who looks to be going to the very top, so it would be a surprise if the Whites sold him for something like that.

Traore is a brilliant player himself, but he wouldn’t be an automatic replacement for Raphinha.

The Brazilian is quick, but he has so much more to his game than that, while Traore almost entirely relies on that pace to cause havoc.

So, it will be interesting to see what happens, but £40million for Raphinha seems like a small fee, considering what he could become.
