Dean Jones: Leeds United set to 'really push' for Wolves attacker Adama Traore

Leeds United are set to “really push” for a deal to bring Wolves winger Adama Traore to Elland Road according to GIVEMESPORT journalist Dean Jones.

TEAMtalk reported on 16 June that Victor Orta remains keen on the 26-year-old who spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona.

It now seems that Leeds are set to ramp up their interest in the Spanish forward whose Wolves contract expires in the summer of 2023.

Transfer insider Jones, who has previously worked for Bleacher Report said to GIVEMESPORT: “One of the things I have heard is that Leeds are back in for Adama Traore and they’re going to really push to see if they can get a breakthrough on this one.”

Risky move

Traore is a player who really flatters to deceive at times due to his ineffectual finishing ability and wasted opportunities that he squanders.

He really does have all the physical attributes to be a sensational player, but it has just not quite worked out wherever he has gone.

There is every chance that he could be a good squad addition to Jesse Marsch’s side, but whether he would be an instant first-team hit remains to be seen.

At 26, there is little hope that the winger will develop any further, but Marsch will still believe that he can get a tune out of the winger.

On his day, he can be unplayable, but sadly we rarely see Traore at his very best.

There is also a question of whether his electric pace stays with him the nearer the winger gets to 30.

He could be an exciting player to watch at Elland Road, but whether this is a smart move by Marsch and Orta is still up for debate.

In other Leeds news, Tim Vickery can’t believe that Arsenal will go for Gabriel Jesus and Leeds United winger Raphinha.
