Dave Edwards questions Leeds star Dan James in Wales draw v Czech Republic

Leeds United winger Dan James endured all emotions on Friday evening as Wales drew 2-2 against the Czech Republic.

After having plenty of the ball and not managing to do much in the first hour, the speedster slammed home the all-important equaliser.

Dave Edwards was left scratching his head throughout until that late goal, as Kieffer Moore was visibly frustrated at times.

Speaking live on Sky Sports during the clash, Edwards questioned the decision making of James when-turned-provider.

“That’s really poor from Dan James,” he said.

“He could clearly see that Joe Morrell was offside and that the better option was Kieffer Moore.”

Work in progress.

Marcelo Bielsa will be delighted with the start of James at Elland Road, and this performance and goal will do his progress no harm.

One criticism that has always hanged over the head of the electrifying winger is his final product, whether shooting or delivering that final pass.

Apart from that, there have been no questions that his attitude, pace and pressing ability all suit Leeds perfectly.

There is no one better to work with to improve than Bielsa, and that little bit of quality will come from James, it certainly did with Jack Harrison.

At times in Prague last night, the final ball of the winger was either not crisp enough or not placed right, but all that matters is his name on the scoresheet and that confidence rising.

It will come, we guarantee.
