Crysencio Summerville tipped to stay at Leeds United as ‘new investment’ mooted at Elland Road
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes the “new investment” from the 49ers will mean Leeds United should be able to keep hold of Crysencio Summerville.
According to the Telegraph, Everton are interested in the 21-year-old winger who enjoyed a breakout season during the 2022/23 campaign.
It’s believed he could be available for £12million and Robinson has urged the board to resist calls to sell the “exciting” attacker.

“Yeah, especially with the new investment. The money is there they don’t have to sell your best players,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“Players like Summerville and Gnonto – young and exciting players – are the ones who are going to get you out of the Championship.
“Those types of players I would be very reluctant to let walk out the door.”

The Dutchman made 28 appearances last season, scoring four goals and registering two assists, including memorable winners against Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Willy Gnonto is another player who has been linked with the exit door, with the Mirror reporting on 25 June that West Ham and Everton are among the clubs taking a look at the 19-year-old attacker.
Crystal Palace are also interested in the youngster, who is viewed as a long-term replacement for Wilfried Zaha, who could be set to depart.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has made a claim on any “obstacles” the Whites may have with an announcement mooted in the coming days.
