Confirmed Leeds United team news v Manchester City
Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed his Leeds United team news for the Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The Whites travel to The Etihad on Tuesday evening (14th December) looking to go one better than the defeat at Chelsea last time out.
Leeds will be without Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper as well as Robin Kock and Pascal Struijk.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to the clash tomorrow, Leeds shared the live feed to the press conference.
“No new injuries, no new players returning,” they wrote.
Adam Forshaw is set for another big clash as he looks to dominate another world-class midfield without the Yorkshire Pirlo alongside him.
Having the likes of Koch and Struijk still not available is a blow, and it looks as though it will now be an unchanged side – but at least Raphinha is not injured.
If we thought Saturday was a real challenge against Chelsea, it is bound to go up another level against Pep Guardiola’s men.
The Londoners were clearly wounded over the weekend, and have started conceding regularly, something we took advantage of.
Compare that to the City side we are looking at facing, and there is an edge of real fear going into this one.
Guardiola has so many options to choose from, with Joao Cancelo his only real absentee through suspension.
The likes of Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne were on the bench against Wolves, and they will likely be unleashed tomorrow.
Anything is possible under Bielsa, as we proved in this exact same fixture last season and until the final whistle goes, there is always belief from us.
